Nancy Dagenhart has a private counseling practice in Corte Madera, California (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, MFC#33222) in which she tailors therapy to her clients’ needs rather than to a particular theory.
Since becoming a psychotherapist in 1992, Nancy has worked effectively with hundreds of clients, alleviating symptoms of anxiety, trauma, and depression, improving self-esteem and relational satisfaction, and deepening spiritual development and purposeful living.
Nancy is a Certified Internal Family Systems Therapist (a cutting-edge conceptual framework and practice for creating healing transformation).
She has taught at the Community Institute for Psychotherapy and at the California institute for Integral Studies Counseling Center. For many years she wrote a monthly column for the web magazine 50Fabulous.com. She is now part of a writers group that writes purely for fun.
As a long term meditator and member of a spiritual growth community, Nancy incorporates ancient wisdom with current neurobiology and somatic perspectives for creating mind/body awareness and optimal functioning.
Nancy grew up in a family of ten, raised two sons, and is married. These deep connections have refined the rich, relational wisdom relevant to her work.
